The Rhipsalis family is occasionally known as the cactus of the jungle. The approximately 60 different varieties grow on tree trunks in the semi shade under the rainforest’s canopy. The Rhipsalis appears in South and Central America and Africa, as well as a number of islands in the Indian Ocean. The Rhipsalis looks terrific in a pot or tray and can also be used hanging to playful effect. One of the plant’s most attractive features: it is extremely easy to care for!
- Light, sunny spot.
- Do not leave excess water in saucer/dish.
- Keep plant slightly dry in winter.
- Apply fertiliser once a week.
